To support and educate families and friends experiencing mental health illness in their families. To help families and friends develop healthy coping skills to support their loved ones. We want to bring families together so they can share their stories and how they have coped thus far. They will develop a sense of belonging knowing they are not alone in this battle.

Canadian Family Supports (CFS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Bolton and Orangeville area. CFS provides vital access to mental health resources, ensuring families have the support they need. We are committed to fostering a community where everyone can achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where mental health care is accessible to all, helping individuals and families thrive.
A Free 8-week Course for Caregivers of Adults With a Mental Health Condition.
The NAMI Family-to-Family course is taught by trained family members who have a loved one with a mental health condition. NAMI Family-to-Family is an evidence-based program (EB).
Described by past participants as life changing, NAMI Family-to-Family is an 8-week education program for family, friends and significant others of adults with mental health conditions. There is no fee to attend and all course materials are provided at no cost to you.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.
Suicide is preventable. Anyone can make a difference. ASIST provides practical training to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Join us in building a suicide-safer community.
Register for the 2-day ASIST workshop today. Participants will learn how to connect with a person at risk, understand the person at risk’s choices, and assist a person at risk with developing a safety plan.
